Working with a therapist can help
Equip yourself with sustainable tools for healing
Improve your self-awareness and self-esteem
Strengthen your communication and coping skills
Promote behavior change and improve mental health
Achieve personal mastery
In individual counseling, you will work one-on-one with a trained therapist, often on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, to explore your feelings and behaviors, identifying goals and potential solutions to problems which are causing you emotional unrest.
The goal of individual counseling is to ultimately help you restore a sense of balance and wholeness by freeing you from the narratives we often tell ourselves and learn techniques that cultivate more satisfying ways to be your best self in the world.
Develop communication skills and socialization skills
Relate to and learn from others
Develop coping skills in a group setting
Improve your self-awareness and self-esteem
Normalize your life experiences
In group counseling, you will work with a trained therapist in conjunction with sharing your experience with others that can understand and relate to your concerns.
Your group can act as a support network and a sounding board by helping you come up with specific ideas for improving a difficult situation or life challenge and holding you accountable along the way. Regularly talking and listening to others may also help you put your own problems in perspective.

"I work in the mental health field too so I know the importance of having someone on your side and on your support team. At some point I realize I can't do this myself, so I found Dr. Timbo and she helped me evolve so much. Knowing that I can open up to her that I can be vulnerable and I feel that unconditional support even when she's challenging me."
I feel unconditional support
"One thing I've learned is that I often do not respond to anxiety or situations appropriately. And I think a lot of that is because I wasn't taking the necessary steps to keep everything in tune, mainly my mental health. I would recommend Dr. Timbo to anyone because she is amazing at what she does and can help you through any situation in your personal life."
She can help you through anything
